Virtual Journeys Around the World - A Wonderful Intercultural Adventure Completed

We are delighted to share the successful completion of our first project activity, ”Virtual Journeys Around the World”, which took place throughout the month of November.
During this exciting activity, our young learners transformed into enthusiastic ”little explorers”, discovering the traditions, culture, and identity of another partner country through digital exploration, creative play, and hands-on experiences.

     A Journey of Cultural Discovery
The main objective of this activity was to encourage intercultural understanding and strengthen children’s digital skills. Each kindergarten group explored one partner country and created a digital presentation showcasing what they had learned.
This year’s cultural exchange unfolded as follows:
  • Romania explored Greece
  • Greece explored Turkey
  • Turkey explored Romania
Through this exchange, children gained new perspectives and learned to appreciate the cultural richness of their friends from abroad.

     Highlights of the Activity

     Digital Exploration
Children embarked on virtual adventures using:
  • Google Earth
  • YouTube clips
  • 360° virtual tours
They visited iconic landmarks, discovered beautiful landscapes, and learned about traditions, foods, and symbols from their assigned country.

     Creative & Interactive Activities
Our young explorers engaged in a variety of hands-on experiences such as:
  • Cooking workshops and tasting sessions inspired by traditional recipes
  • Art and craft projects (flags, monuments, costumes, cultural symbols)
  • Learning traditional dances, songs, and games
These activities allowed children to learn through play, creativity, and sensory exploration.

     Digital Presentations
Each kindergarten created a digital presentation-using Google Slides or other tools-featuring:
  • Tourist attractions
  • Traditional dishes
  • National symbols and cultural identity
Photos of children’s artwork, crafts, and performances made each presentation truly unique and meaningful.

     Sharing Our Work
All presentations were uploaded to the TwinSpace platform by November 30th. This enabled every group to take a virtual trip to Romania, Greece, and Turkey, exploring each other’s findings with curiosity and excitement.

     Our Collective ”Virtual Travel Book”
Thanks to the dedication of all teachers and children, we now have a beautiful collection of digital presentations forming our very own Virtual Travel Book.
This collaborative product celebrates diversity, creativity, and cross-cultural friendship-values at the heart of our project.

     A Heartfelt Thank You
We extend our warmest thanks to all participating kindergartens for their creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
Our young explorers have shown us that learning about other cultures can be fun, enriching, and inspiring.
The journey may be virtual, but the memories and lessons are very real.
Here’s to many more adventures together!

Logo Survey Results

As part of our Friends of Technology eTwinning project, the children from our partner kindergarten classes in Romania, Greece, and Turkey participated in a collaborative vote to select the project logo. This activity not only encouraged creativity and visual expression but also strengthened the sense of connection between our young learners across countries. We are pleased to announce that the logo designed by the Kindergarten with Extended Program ”Căsuța Bucuriei” Number 11 - ”Little Stars” (Romania) received the highest number of votes. This logo emerged as the clear favorite among the children, gathering nearly one-quarter of all responses and standing out for its joyful design and strong visual appeal. The Greek kindergartens, particularly those from Galatista, also received considerable support. Their logos captured a significant share of votes, reflecting the talent, imagination, and artistic sensitivity of the young participants. Alth...

The Magic of Winter Holidays Brings Us Together

In December, our partner kindergartens successfully carried out Activity 2 - “The Magic of Winter Holidays Brings Us Together”, a joyful international event celebrating friendship, cultural diversity, and the shared spirit of the winter holidays.     The activity started with an international virtual meeting held on the Google Meet platform, during which children and teachers from all partner countries met online. The meeting took place at 10:15 AM (Romanian time) and offered a wonderful opportunity for young learners to get to know one another in a warm and festive atmosphere.     Throughout the online session, children enthusiastically introduced themselves, exchanged smiles and greetings, and participated in a cultural exchange by singing Christmas carols or winter songs specific to their countries. Each group proudly presented a song reflecting their national traditions, helping children discover how winter holidays are celebrated in different cultu...
